Watered Down soft version. The opening of Mojave Ghost is like a breeze. I think both the violet and magnolia notes in this are of particularly good quality to exemplify the best of what they can bring to a scent. I would never have bought this perfume based on the description, as I don't like oriental perfumes at all. I’m incredibly disappointed. I do see why this one is so popular—it's a lovely option for evening but isn't sweet or overly floral in the least. Mojave Ghost is a woody composition inspired by the soulful beauty of the Mojave Desert. I've never seen a sapodilla, let alone smelled one, but there's something familiar about the fruity element of the opening... but when paired with the floral elements, it has a really intriguing feel. This fragrance jumps out and punches me in the face when I wake up wearing it! I am hoping to post more perfume reviews regularly. For me, it's one of those scents where I would happily wear it if I owned it, but because of the relatively high price tag, I'm not rushing out to buy it. However,....when I sprayed that virgin spray....I felt like a character in a comic strip......when someone is laughing at you while deflating a balloon in your ear...that annoying sound of failure. I love this scent but it seriously lasts less than 5 minutes on me. There was something about each one I liked and something I didn’t. This is also the first time I cannot detect a fragrance at all. Or better put perfume for people who wants to smell like they have something on. It's a shame it doesn't last throughout the day, but I would highly reccomend purchasing the oil version or hair perfume to touch up during the day. The sandalwood dry down gives it more of a masculine feel but obviously the floral component makes it more feminine....I get many compliments with this one, not to say that is my goal when I wear it, but if others think it smells great, perhaps I should listen? A unique and light fragrance that is uplifting to me. This perfume reads “youthful” and although complex, I wouldn’t put it in the “sophisticated” category. Spraying on a paper strip only allowed a slight floral-fruity bit to be noticed. Genius! It would be perfectly suited for a college aged woman who saved lots of money working a summer job and wanted to make a special big purchase. It’s dry, it’s bittersweet fruity, and it’s high, and soaring without being screechy. I can barely smell this and don't find anything remarkable about what I do smell. I cant believe people are saying this is not loud or long lasting! Alas, this was different beast: soapy, floral and perfumey vs fruity and vanilla sweet like a tobacco flower. Byredo. Kind of like Insence Flash by Tauerville (which I absolutely love). It doesn't last long though, maybe 4-5 hours with very soft projection. Sweet and fruity shampoo like scent with surprising staying power - more than 8 hours. At first I said: But what is it ?? Many describe it as a crisp floral, and seeing that I still have not chosen my wedding day scent, I placed this fragrance high on my agenda. Or am I crazy? I absolutely understand the comparisons to Marc Jacobs Daisy. Disappointing. This starts out smelling really similar to the green Palle kuling candy beads we have in Sweden, which in turn taste like a candy version of an ice cream called päronsplitt which is a pear flavored popsicle with a soft vanilla center. I just got this after smelling it at skins in Amsterdam and it is absolutely lovely! I get lots of compliments when I wear this. Can easily pass as a body-scent, a naturally good and personal scent; that is my favourite part of this perfume. Also, the magnetized cap is a nice touch . Light fruity-floral & ambrette with some soft cedar base. The little scent that wasn't there. I have tested this one a few times, and unfortunately, will have to agree with the negative reviews. This scent is something else to me. I get the comparisons to Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue, but this is really nothing like that at all. Im surprised by some people say this doesnt last long on their skin. I have yet to try it on the skin, but on paper this reminded me so much of Frederic Malle's Dans Tes Bras. (Ambergris always brings my sensual side out by feeling sexier and confident). Four sprays this morning, and two hours later, I can hardly smell it at all, which is better than the intense Juicy Fruit I detected on an earlier trial. I have sampled this in the Space NK closest to my university several times because I couldn’t make my mind up and decide whether I liked it enough to purchase a whole bottle. It opens really strong with what i would suppose is sapodilla, a bit sweet but sour when combined with ambrette, almost creating an illusion of a leather effect with the deep-seated ambergris. This stuff is tenacious and I could still smell it after several thorough washing. I love it. Does sapodilla have any smell?? Someone poured Marc Jacobs Daisy into a $250 bottle of Byredo at my local department store, or I'm losing my mind. Also, it's very cooling and refreshing. only drawback might be that its a little linear for such a hefty price tag, but linear is exactly what we need sometimes. I felt compelled to leave a few notes on Mojave Ghost because there are so many negative reviews for what I think is an innovative and fresh - in every sense - fragrance. Just a bit sweet. However, whereas the scent smells promising from the bottle, on the skin it was quite a letdown. sehr schön beginnend mit fruchtiger Note, gemischt mit meiner liebsten blumigen Note (Magnolie). I have no idea what sapodilla smells like, but I do detect a fruity Bosc pearish-powdery quality, which is also airy and light. I disagree the negative reviews. The opening smells like a light sugary melon ball syrup shaken with magnolia flower essence which is an extremely light sweet floral but there is a slight purple slash of violet that sends a small dark cloud over the sunny sky. I have a girl with very minimal wardrobe, wearing only black or white and having a office job, because Byredos are suitable for this. Smells generic and forgettable. *shrug* What do I know? I would describe as pretty. Easily forgettable. It basically smells aquatic, clean, and fruity. –Mark Behnke ← Not an oriental by my lights. Very interesting. The dry down is probably the most interesting to me. Pricey for what you get. It doesn't evoke Joshua trees, creosote bushes, coyotes, or dusty and windswept trailer parks on the edge of Barstow. It makes Mojave Ghost also nice for office work as it projects sweet and clean mood. Something about this reminds me of Excretions Magnifique! i dont enjoy this. It sure smells great. After loving Blanche so much, I got a bunch of samples of Byredo and Mojave Ghost was one of them. It actually reminds me a little bit of Christina Aguileras Inspire, that I love but it never lasts on my skin, don't know what it is that reminds me of it, but Byredos scent lasts longer on my skin. Mojave Ghost is a woody composition inspired by the soulful beauty of the Mojave Desert. I prefer a fresher scent with a bit more sillage. I Think this one start to become even more common than Bal d'Afrique and I dont mind. The sapodilla has an aquatic quality that calls back Daisy in an instant - but in a good way. I have tendre and daisy and I really don't see any similarities to this. THE BEST dupe is ZARA - SANTAL GLOW - trust me. I like this one. I'm quite perplexed as some reviews state it is similar to Chance Eau Fraiche or Daisy...This is actually the reason why I ordered a sample vial. On my skin, this one is just fruity and not much else. I just can't understand how this is supposed to be a rather pricy niche eau de parfum. Almost an aerated effect. Smells like it could have been something. Oh dear.... it is EXACTLY the same. I went into this fragrance right after smelling flowers blooming in Death Valley and was so disappointed I couldn't do it justice. This frag is awesome you people obviously don't know how to judge frags lol last all day on me and is not fruity at all lol wow people amaze me with some of the reviews they leave, I love byredo perfumes ,this one is horrible :(, Byredo Mojave Ghost hydratační krém ... (. Although I'm not much of a Byredo fan (except for the stirring M/Mink), the concept and ad-copy for Mojave Ghost had me pretty fired up. So points for longevity, I guess. I do agree that it is probably more "commercial" than a lot of the other Byredo scents, but there is something about it that is very pleasing to me. This is just beautiful, its a whispering scent that makes it self known in wonderful wafts every now and then. Green floral classy masterpiece. Soft, pleasant, almost skin-like... A ghost (maybe I'm too fond of beasts n niche-y n classics). On the other hand, I can see it becoming one of my main go-to scents when I just want something pleasant. Another great work Byredo! Mojave Ghost was launched in 2014. That was an expensive blind buy. As a fan of Byredo, and having owned FB of Seven Veils and Pulp, I am struggling to identify this one. With a light and graceful character top notes of musky Ambrette combine with fresh Jamaican Nesber Only maybe not quite as good. Maybe it's just me, but after about half an hour I have a hard time detecting them on my skin. Unique smell that stands out in my collection. smells like clean, crisp pear. "ohh This smells like nothing hurts " . This kind of perfume that you will love it but sometimes you'll hate it. I, like some others, first smelled Marc Jacobs Daisy right upon the first spray on my arms and wrist. As I sayd a perfect scent for a 17 y o! Sadly that is not the case. I found Byredo on a recent trip to Paris. The scent uplifts me and has this quality to it of serenity. This is just gorgeous. Not sure if the label "Ghost" is meant literally.. Mojave Ghost doesn't seem to have this dry down effect, but it loses Daisy's femininity. Despite its arid surroundings and inability to produce nectar, the Ghost Flower, or Mohavea Confertiflora, maintains its perfect, majestic beauty and thrives year after year. I was incredibly keen to try Mojave Ghost as it is one of those Byredo scents that is constantly mentioned on forums and YouTube. Ghost is mystical. Its light fresh musk with the floral notes make it very pleasant to the nose. There is also something milky in this fragrance which really bothers me. Byredo Mojave Ghost Showergel 225ml. It opens with a faint dusty wood with something vaguely fruity. It's a bright, masculine fragrance and lasts all day on me. Virtualalice and Rosequeen are spot on: inoccuous, boring/mildly pleasant, office-friendly, inoffensive, clean "ghosting" scent. I had to scrub. No, the smell has absolutely nothing to do with the Mojave Desert. I grew up in the Caribbean eating sapodillas, maybe that’s why I find comfort here. I'm pretty sure you could bottle low-level nuclear waste, call it "Mojave Ghost," and it would still sell like crazy. Had to spray a lot of this juice on in order for my husband to smell it on me. Hard to put my finger on this one. One of these is the Mojave Ghost, a delicate white flower that is also rather clever: it has a spot on it that mimics a bee, thus attracting the bees from nearby flowers. Ideal for autumn and winter and I want it so badly! I don't want to offend anyone. Pronunciation It's lovely, but I don't think it is worth the price tag. To me, this smells just like Michael Kors Michael Kors. Fluffy, airy, light. Light as a sunbeam and sweet, this perfume reminds me of coconut and flowers... bright and deliciously creamy flowers. Ketahui review produk BYREDO Mojave Ghost jujur dari pengguna hanya di Female Daily. This scent is not oriental to me, but fresh, light and at the same time kinda unisex - I absolute love it! Very easily likeable, but not lovable for its lack of character. There's no denying it's one of the great names in perfumery, and it's moved a lot of product - much of it in completely blind purchases (yes, including myself). It looks like water, smells almost just like water. With the name "Mohave Ghost" I was expecting something dry and 'desert-esq' like with cedar or oud and something 'ghosty' with pepper or tonka spice. Then an equally synthetic vanilla cream accord develops. Daisy dries down to have this sting/sharpness of a fragrance. Interesting for the first 5 minutes. OMG, I think I love this... it opened so nicely- clean, citrusy and even a hint of peach backed by the amber which sort of sneaks up as the violets peek out for me. Mojave Ghost. This perfume is nice. Rather decant and enjoyable, but very generic and boring. I hoped this smelled like dust, incense, maybe with a hit of green notes. Could wear it all year round and all day long. I think Byredo’s Mojave Ghost is intriguing and unique. Full of magnolia with other supporting elements like sandalwood and cedarwood, I'm mostly miffed by how the top notes---somewhat unfamiliar to me-- … I kept hearing rumblings about this fragrance being mysterious, unique, and enigmatic. It basically smells aquatic, clean, and fruity. Perfume for people who don't wear perfume. The review by RB75 below, is spot on. No and no. When I first sprayed it on my wrist, I thought it might be nice, but a little ordinary. There is nothing really wrong with the fragrance but it is nothing like what you're imagining from the description. This light airy floral is carried outward on an inflationary burst of synthetic cedar and ruggedly sunny ambroxan. In this xeric wilderness, rare are the plants that dare to blossom. reminds me of - a fresh spring day, just stepped out of the shower, with nothing to do but roam with streets of a new foreign city. The sapodilla note here is what makes this unique. This is a whole lot of synthetic banana-coconut-orange "nothing fruit for about 7 or 8 minutes. That's Mojave Ghost! If you like the soft, creamy & spicy part of Mojave Ghost, then Noa is the better and more affordable option. And Violet, violet when done right is the scent that Cleopatra used to wear because it is a scent that loads up our receptors for smelling it and our brain can't register it after a while, then suddenly, wham, receptors are unblocked and the Violet hits you like you've never smelled it before. Mojave Ghost by Byredo is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. Actually it does’t look really powerful – rather delicate and fragile. It's a very intriguing fruity, floral top with a slightly woodier ending. The scent is actually slightly elegant, in a light, spring-like way. I tried it on my skin, and this worked great with my skin's chemistry. I was wrong. It reminds me of CdG wonderwood. Felt the need to jump in and defend this beautiful, elusive juice. I personally find the heart and base quite heavy, and would only use this during colder months. https://www.parfumo.net/Perfumes/Byredo/Mojave_Ghost_Eau_de_Parfum Maybe I'm nose-blind to something :/ ? too weird, but that over time is revealed, it reveals its true essence and wraps you in an embrace gentle, kind ... makes me feel comfortable, lightweight, and nostalgic. Oh my lord, I love this fragrance! The magnolia is very nice, I would like it to be more prominent. They should benifit from an intense verision. Nog geen reviews. Impressive. This fragrance lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin with a moderate to heavy sillage for the first 3 hours, the fragrance then becomes more of a skin scent, one of the best fragrances from the house of Byredo. What it is : A woody, aromatic perfume that pays homage to the bewitching Mojave Ghost flower. 3.97 Fragrance story : In the xeric wilderness of the Mojave desert, trees and vegetation more ancient than many civilizations defy conditions that prey on human vulnerability. Giving it time to evolve made all the difference. Perfumes: 63319 Ugh! Its sweet and airy, fairly light but noticable, innoffensive but unique, lovely. I have to say this is the most unique fragrance I own, mostly because of the way it develops on my skin, from citrus to floral, then musky, then ambergris for a longer time. Maybe some noise fatigue??? the sopadilla smells like asian pear to me, a crisp delicate yet distinctive flavor, the sandalwood wraps itself around the magnolia and the breeze is sweetened by violets carmelized in amber. I don't find this particularly fruity or heavily floral, its like a swirling combination of just this and just so at the right time.
